Crane Lodge No 2660
Crane Lodge is the oldest Lodge in Cranbrook, being consecrated on the 7th of July 1897 further information on the lodge can be found on the history page. Crane Lodge meets at the Hartley Masonic Centre, just outside Cranbrook, a link to the Hartley Masonic Centre, with details of how to get there, can be found in links page.
Crane Lodge meets in the early evening on the second Monday in October, November, December, February, March, April and May. After the meeting the members and any masonic guests dine at a local hostelry. After the December meeting we hold a ‘White Table’ where partners are encouraged to attend and indeed thanked for allowing the members to attend lodge meetings throughout the year. Aside from the traditional ‘White Table’, social events catering for all family members are arranged throughout the year.
The diversity of Crane Lodge’s demographic is one of our main strengths, our members are from all walks of life and all age groups, the average age is around 40, though we have quite a few member in their 20’s & 30’s, many of the younger members have young families. Members interests are diverse from travel, gardening, finance, property development, field sports and dog training, and sports – football to cycling, rugby to cricket, supporting local grass root clubs to following international teams.
A common theme running through the lodge is a deep affinity with the local community and a desire to give something back through service or charitable works.
